This policy explains what AI Handwriting (“the app”, “we”), published by AI Handwriting, does with your information. The short version:
No account, and your documents stay on your phone. PDF tools and printed-text recognition run on the device. When you use an AI feature, the image or text you choose is sent to Google Gemini or ChatPDF to produce the result, and only after you agree. There are no ads, no purchases and no tracking.
1. Information on your device
Scans, documents, folders, chat history and AI bots are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. We don't run a server that receives or keeps them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them.
The app asks for camera access through the system document scanner, and for photos and files you pick with the system pickers. It only reads the items you choose.
2. AI features
Handwriting Scan, Maintain Style, CSV Scan, Enhance Document and the AI assistant send the image or text you choose to the Google Gemini API, operated by Google. Chat with PDF and AI bots upload the PDF you choose, and the questions you ask about it, to ChatPDF. The app asks for your permission before the first time it sends anything to these services, and you can say no; the features that don't use AI keep working.
The result comes back to the app and is saved only on your device. We don't keep a copy. Google and ChatPDF process requests under their own terms and privacy policies. Don't send documents you are not allowed to share with a third-party service.
“Extract text only” and the eight PDF tools (merge, organize, images to PDF, PDF to images, compress, sign, add password, watermark) run entirely on your phone.
3. Services the app uses
The app uses these third-party services. Each receives only what is listed.

The app shows no ads, sells nothing in the app, and doesn't use an advertising ID or track you across other apps and websites.
4. What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to use the app.
- We don't read your documents or use them to train AI models.
5. Security
All network traffic to the services above uses HTTPS. Password-protected PDFs are encrypted with AES on your device; we never see the password.
6. Keeping and deleting data
Documents are kept on your phone until you delete them or uninstall the app. The services above keep data according to their own policies. See Delete your data for step-by-step instructions and how to ask us to request deletion from our partners.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the app's AI features, contact us and we will help.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we hold no account data, most requests are handled by the steps on the deletion page. For anything else, email us.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
